We tag along with researchers from the Royal Alberta Museum who are diving into the chilly waters of Cold Lake to test live capture nets. It's all part of an effort to find the rare Cisco fish.

We visit the Evergreen Centre for Resource Excellence & Innovation where advances in resource extraction are being tested. Industry is collaborating to find ways to narrow the trenching paths required for pipelines.

Conservation officers take open-water training

Handling boats at high speeds and rescuing stranded boaters and swimmers requires specialized training. We join Provincial Parks conservation officers as they have fun getting up to speed on these important skills. 

Energy in action

We visited a classroom in Rocky Mountain House to learn about an educational program designed to teach students how our natural resources are formed and extracted.

Gear Guide - protecting your axe handle
Brad Fenson returns with his popular gear tips. This week he uses duct tape and a rope to create a padded shock absorber to protect your axe handle from damage - just in case you miss your target!

Mary takes the Alberta Hunter Education course

The newest member of the LGO adventure team, and a non-hunter, Mary Hulbert takes part in the Alberta Hunter Education course to see what this business of hunting is all about.
