Watercraft Inspections standing on-guard against AIS threat

Roadside inspection stations will once again be a common sight along Alberta highways this summer season.

If you are traveling into Alberta with a watercraft or are keeping it close to home and just visiting different lakes within the province, you are required by law to pull over at every watercraft inspection station.

The stakes are high, think about this $75-million tax-paying dollars would be needed to stay on top of the damage on a yearly basis, if Zebra or Quagga mussels infected our lakes, rivers, streams and reservoirs.
